Grilled Chocolate Bananas

4 bananas, slightly under-ripe
5 oz. milk chocolate, broken into squares

With a sharp knife make a cut in the top of each banana from end to end, cutting deep into the banana, but not going through the skin at the bottom. Open out the slit and pop in the square of chocolate, dividing them between the four bananas. Wrap the bananas in foil.

To barbecue ...
Place the bananas on the grill over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate has melted and the bananas are lightly cooked. Open the foil packages, pull back the banana skin and eat the chocolatey flesh with a teaspoon, or with vanilla ice cream, if desired. Personally, I would make that a large scoop of vanilla, accompanied by an extra-large scoop of chocolate.

Serves 6.
